The process that I most often follow to reach the objective is:
Research & Planning > Functional Design > Implementation > Evaluation
This is a holistic approach that has yielded good results over the years. Of course this approach is not always the best for every possible situation - when required, I design a custom solution taking into account the company’s needs, budget, and timeline.
